Quick Story Line

When the queen disdainfully proclaims that Aurora will now have a real family and mother, an enraged Maleficent displays her powers. She seemingly curses the king, putting him in an endless slumber. As the guards arrive, Maleficent escapes, but she is shot and falls into the ocean. A winged creature named Connall (Ejiofor) rescues Maleficent and takes her to safety.
